21世紀を迎えるにあたり、アジア地域が新しい文明の創造に果たす役割はますます増大するであろう。また、その原動力は、アジアの若い世代から生まれると考える。
我々はこうした認識をもとに、アジアからの留学生や若手研究者を中心に、日本そして世界各国の若い世代の信頼醸成の場、未来に向けた連帯を創り出す場として「アジア21世紀奨学財団」を設立し、21世紀のアジアそして地球社会の発展に貢献して行きたいと考える。

As we approach the 21st century, Asia will play a very important roll in the creation of the new civilization. Asian youth will be the most important factor in this.
With this in mind, “Asia 21 Foundation” was established to facilitate an environment in which Asian scholars and the young generation of Japan and other region of the world can gather, foster mutual trust and build friendship so that we may contribute to the development of Asia and world in the 21st century.
